Family Update!

Well I have a lot of news to report, so I guess I will tackle it in chunks.

First of all, Ian and I celebrated 3 years of marriage on June 24th! Crazy how fast time flies. It feels like we just got married yesterday. I can't believe I've been teaching for three years, Ian's be on Phoenix PD for 3 years, and now we are blessed with a wonderful baby boy! We have such a wonderful life!
Next, we bought a new house! Did we sell the old house? Nope, we are renting it. It's going to cost us a little more each month, but our mortgage for the new house isn't that much more than what we are getting for rent. And then hopefully after a few years, what we can make on the new house when we sell it will make up for the fact that we are upside down in the townhouse! Or maybe we'll just keep the townhouse as an investment property and when we get older and move to Washington we can keep the townhouse as a retirement home! Who knows? All I know is that after two weeks of insane stress, we are finally the owners of a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2000 square foot home in Gilbert! Finally we be moving out to the burbs and be near our friends! I'm not going to post pictures yet, because there is quite a bit of work to be done... carpet, painting, new garage door opener, new appliances, etc.... What I will do is post before and after pictures once everything is done! Hopefully we'll be all moved in by next weekend! Thank goodness my mom is flying down this weekend to help and we have wonderful friends who are also pitching in with watching Aidan or helping us paint.

Finally, tomorrow Aidan is two months old! I can't believe how fast time is flying, although I am sure being crazy busy with the new house isn't helping! We had his two month doctor appt today... poor guy had to get 4 shots! Yes, four! I tried to be proactive and give him some Tylenol first, but don't think it really helped with the initial pain! He handled it pretty well, and after some encouragement from Mom about being brave and tough, he only cried for a minute or two! Daddy would have been proud! So here's his latest stats! He is 11 lbs 13.5 oz and 24 in long! His height actually puts him in the 90th percentile and he is in the 50th percentile for weight for his age. However, he's a skinny lil thing and his percentile for his weight based on his height is in the 20th percentile! He's eating about 5 oz ever 3-4 hours though... so he's defintely getting enough. I think he's just an active little boy and his burning all his calories (see videos below!). He's much more active, giving lots of smiles and cooing. He's occasionally watching Baby Einstein videos and loves them!! We can't wait until we are in the new house and his new room is all set up and we have tons more space for all his "stuff" and for him to play!

Finally, what you have all been waiting for! New pictures and videos!!

All dressed up and ready to go to a BBQ (I know he's not strapped in! Just posing for the picture before we left!! Safety First!)

Watching Baby Einstein... we are completely enthralled!
Play time!
All tuckered out and snoring! It was a busy day!
Aidan hanging out in his travel swing while Mom gets work done at the new house!

Aidan spent the afternoon at our friend Monica's so I could get painting done! Thanks Rebekah for taking such good care of him! She shared her Care Bears and played with him! In about 8 years she can even babysit him!

Sleeping in his Pack and Play that we got set up at the new house so he has a comfortable and clean place to lay down... The carpets are nasty!! Poor guy had his shots today, but he seems to be doing alright!

I just love these pants!!

Aidan is as cute as can be and growing by the minute. Poor baby has no clothes!!! Everytime I see him, he has a new outfit. Congrats on your new house and your wedding anniversary. Sorry I will not be able to help you with getting your house ready.
