We got there Friday afternoon and checked into our hotel and then went shopping at the exchange at USMC Recruit Depot. I couldn't believe how young the Marines looked! Still just babies and it amazes me what an important job these guys do for our country! I just wanted to hug them all and make sure they knew how much what they are going to be doing is appreciated!
On Friday night we went to Il Fornaio on Coronado Island (which we had first gone to the one in Walnut Creek the night after we got married and loved it!). We had a table right next to the window overlooking the bay. Such a great dinner. Aidan was very well behaved and our server just loved him! Especially since he was wearing his little Vans from Aunt Karen! They were still a little bit big, but I couldn't resist dressing him up for our evening out!
On Saturday we went to Sea World. I loved it!! It was so much fun and the shows were amazing! I can't believe what the trainers and animals are capable of! Aidan stayed int he sling most of the day and both of us were very comfortable. So much easier than having to hold him, and so much nicer for him not to be stuck in his carseat! That night we went to Casa Guadalajara for dinner and it was great! We had intended to go back to Sea World for the fireworks and night shows, but were so pooped by the time we got done with dinner (it was an hour wait!) that we decided to just go back to the hotel and relax.
On Sunday we got check ed out of the hotel and headed over to Pacific Beach. We went on a walk along the strand and then ate breakfast at Kono's Cafe. Very yummy... but quite the wait. Finally we were done with breakfast (it was like noon!) and we were on our way back home! We stopped off at Point Loma Seafoods to get some clam chowder and then it was travel time.
Aidan did an absolute excellent job on vacation! We bought him his very own DVD player at Recruit Depot and he really loved having it on the ride home. It was a godsend too, b/c finally afte rbeing in a car seat "all" day, about 2 hours outside of Phoenix he finally started getting fussy. The DVD player calmed him down and kept him occupied so that I didn't have a nervous breakdown driving the final stretch home!
All in all, it was a great vacation! I can't wait to go back again and next time be able to take Aidan to the beach so that he can experience the sand and water!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from Sea World!
What a spoiled lil man!!! 3 months old and he already has his own DVD player!

I am glad you had great time! Great pictures too!
Sea World looks awesome! I love the vacation pics :) Its fun traveling with a baby isn't it? The first time we went away with Lucy she was almost 2 months old and needless to say...our whole truck was packed down!
We loved Sea World... It's funny b/c we brought a bunch of stuff... "just in case" and we were so busy we never even took it out of the car!
