A Big Surprise!
Well today I went into the doctor for my weekly appointment. NSTs took a little while since Aidan must have been sleeping and was a little uncooperative. After my exam (still 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced) and having my membranes stripped (so not fun), my doctor had the nurse call the hospital to try and schedule the induction. Well lo and behold it is set for tomorrow at 7:30 AM! So with about 12 hours notice, we are scrambling to finish trying to get everythign ready. After my appointment, I went straight back to school to finish getting ready for the sub, and now I am at home scarfing down dinner and trying to finish getting the house ready. This is no nesting... this is sheer panic!! We'll be able to have Wi-Fi at the hospital, so be sure to check back here for updates!!

38 Week Appt
Well we went to the doctor on Thursday for our weekly visit. NSTs were fine. I had a couple contractions while on it, but nothing significant. Blood pressure was fine and I am 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Aidan is in the -1 position. According to the Dr, I will be a good candidate for the induction since everything is already progressing so well. So next Friday, they will call and schedule the induction. I asked if she thought Aidan would come earlier than next Friday, but she said not likely unless something drastically changes. So looks like our lil man will be here after the 1st of May, but definitely before the 8th!
Also, Here's some of the latest baby bump pics! These were taken Sat, April 25th.

Officially Full Term - 37 Weeks
Here is the latest baby bump picture. I am 37 weeks today, so officially full term. I just had a doctor's appt yesterday and everything is progressing along. Blood pressure and NSTs were fine. Shouldn't be too much longer now! Aidan is continuing to bounce around and try and bust his way out! I'm just trying to get ready for maternity leave. As much as I am getting tired of being pregnant, hopefully he won't make a surprise visit before we're ready!! :)

A Well Deserved Vent
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I think I had about the worst Sunday ever! It started off fine. I didn't sleep much so I finally decided to just to read one of my books. I actually read the whole thing. The whole time I had been hearing this weird noise though. I thought it was just workers outside b/c they have been replacing all the awnings on the exteriors, eventhough it is Easter. So I pretty much just ignored it. Well I finally got up at 10:30 and looked downstairs to see if they had replaced one of our awnings, and I saw this black stuff on the floor, window sill, and the couch. I didn't tink much of it, thinking somehow it had come through the window when they were working... I know not likely, but the windows are old, and leak, so why wouldn't other stuff come in. So I decided to take a shower and then I'd head downstairs to clean up the mess. Well I get dressed and went downstairs, just to see even more of a mess... it seemed to have gotten worse. So I get out the vacuum and start cleaning it up. Well, not a minute after I start I hear all this racket coming from the fireplace. Upon further investigation, I realize all the black stuff everywhere is soot and it's coming from the fireplace where something is obviously trapped. Well I figure there is nothing else to do, but keep cleaning. By this point I'm really noticing that this soot is everywhere! And I mean everywhere. All over the blinds, on both couches, all over the TV... it's even spread all over the kitchen. But I figure, it's not going to clean itself, so I keep working. Well next thing I know, this crazy bird is flying around my house! My cats are going nuts, and the bird is covered in soot, so he is getting more black everywhere. I lock the cats (who are also now covered in soot) in the bathroom but its a sliding door and they keep getting out. By this point I can't take anymore. So I can Ian and start crying cuz I don't know how to catch a damn bird and less face it, at 9 mons preggo, I'm probably a little bit emotional!
So he comes home from work, gets the bird out (he had to climb up on the mantle of our fireplace to reach it in one of our high windows). But then he had to go back to work, so I am left to clean up this mess. It literally took me over 5 hours. the vacuum kept getting clogged, the couch was stained (but luckily I got it out with some scrubbing). Then to top it all off, I broke one of my candle holders trying to clean it, and then stepped on broken glass after I thought I had vacuumed it all up. Luckily it was small and didn't even really make my foot bleed. And everytime I thought I finally got an area cleaned, it would get covered again. The only thing I kept thinking was that at least if I went into pre-term labor from all this, at least my house would be clean! So sorry for my Easter rant, but man this was a crappy day! And I actually had stuff I wanted to do today!!! Oh and did i mention, the bird pooped on my stairs?? Luckily Ian took care of that for me!! It is now 7 hours after this whole saga began and I am finally sitting on the couch while my husband cooks some dinner. I hope everyone else had a bettter day!!

Some new pics!
I had an ultrasound yesterday and we finally got some pictures of our little man at 35 weeks 5 days!!! He was still a little camera shy, and now that he's getting bigger, it's harder to get decent pictures of him, but here they are! Some are a little distorted b/c the cord kept getting in the way, but the U/S tech said he looks great! He is measuring about 6lbs 2oz, which is about a week and a half to two weeks ahead right now. I have an appt tomorrow (Friday), so they'll go over the U/S results then, and we'll find out any new updates then.
Here's his cute little foot!

3rd Trimester or 1st???
So if it weren't for this huge baby bump and feeling like my belly was going to bust open everytime this kiddo moves around I would swear I was back in my first trimester again! The slight nausea is coming back. And the past two mornings I have woken up in a pool of drool!! I thought I left all that behind me!! LOL! Only 4 weeks to go. I have an ultrasound at the specialist coming up on Wednesday this week, and a Dr appt on Friday. But if Aidan's movement is any indicator, we have one very healthy baby boy!
On a side note, we have decided to look for another house. We'll keep our current house and rent it out, but we're hoping to find a bigger place that we can grow in for awhile since we are currently bursting at the seams (and I blame it all on Ian and his "stuff"!!!). If you know anyone who's interested in renting a 2 bedroom townhouse, let us know!

35 week appt
Well today I had my 35 week Dr appt. I started off with the NSTs and those went well. Lil Aidan was moving and shaking the whole time. I was having some uterine contractions during the test, but they didn't cause his heart rate to drop so that's a good thing! The rest of the appt was pretty quick. Blood pressure was fine and there isn't any sweilling in my ankles. Next week I have an appointment at the specialist for an ultrasound on Wednesday and then back to my Dr on Friday for another NST and my 36 week appt. Fun times! It's so hard to believe that we'll be meeting our lil guy in 4 weeks since they will most likely induce at 39 weeks!
